Tractor use in the fuel saving ‘tricks’
1. Reduce braking while driving
To reduce power consumption, tractor transport operations, minimise braking or no braking, so as to achieve the purpose of saving fuel.
2. Use two clutches
When the tractor is transporting, it should use ‘two clutches to shift gears’, and should not stop to shift gears.
3. Don't use the throttle too much or too little during the work.
When the tractor is travelling, do not increase or decrease the throttle or change the working speed suddenly.
4. Tyre pressure should be appropriate
Tractor transport operations, tyre inflation pressure should be generally higher than the prescribed value of 100 ~ 150 kPa, in order to reduce resistance.
When working in the farmland, the tyre pressure should be appropriately low, in order to increase the adhesion with the soil.
5. Choose a reasonable gear
To run the engine exhaust pipe does not smoke as the standard, otherwise should immediately lower the gear properly.
position.
6. Minimise engine idling
If you need to do something temporarily for more than 3 minutes, it is better to switch off the engine and stop the car properly.
7. Maintain normal water temperature
The engine water temperature should be kept at 85~95℃, which is the highest thermal efficiency of the engine and the smallest fuel consumption.
8. Try to work under full load
Do not overload the work, do not ‘big horse-drawn carts’; if the load is insufficient, should be used in high gear small throttle approach; work to minimise air travel.
9. Do not change the exhaust pipe
Tractor in use, the exhaust pipe to maintain the original design and installation location unchanged, can not lengthen the exhaust pipe and change the direction of its installation,
so as not to increase the exhaust resistance.
10. Maintain the air filter on time.
The air filter should be in good technical condition to reduce the intake resistance. The air filter should not be wrapped with cloth or other things.
11. Lubricating oil should be sufficient
General engine oil sump oil should be added to close to the upper scale of the dipstick, but not more than the upper scale. At the same time to improve the oil purification,
to ensure its quality.
12. Reduce the power loss of the transmission system
New or overhauled tractor, must be in accordance with the technical requirements of the break-in and test run before being put into production: the correct use of lubricants,
winter and summer should be replaced with a different viscosity of the lubricant and to do the correct specifications of the brand, should also be regularly on the driveline for
technical maintenance.
13. Correctly select the appropriate tyres
In order to give full play to the adhesion of tyres and soil, must choose the right tread pattern, while maintaining the appropriate height of the tread pattern, in order to reduce
skidding.
14. Correctly adjust the clearance of the transmission system
The clearance of each transmission part of the locomotive must be standardised in order to reduce the power consumption during transmission; correctly adjust the clearance
of the traction machine and the traction clearance, so as not to touch and not to be stuck in the work.
15. Eliminate fuel system oil leakage
Regularly test the technical status of the engine fuel system to prevent leakage, and also install oil return equipment.
16. Overhaul before operation
Into the operation of the machine, the technical state must be good. The transmission wheel of agricultural implements should use V-belt pulleys compatible with V-belts to
avoid slipping, which will invariably lead to increased fuel consumption.
17. Transfer switch winter and summer installation should be correct
Some tractor lubrication system is designed with a temperature transfer switch, temperature transfer switch end cap has an arrow. Oil filter wall, ‘winter’ ‘summer’ two
words, such as 4125A diesel engine conversion temperature of 278K (open). Therefore, the winter head must point to ‘winter’, summer head must point to ‘summer’.
Otherwise, it will affect the normal temperature of the engine and increase fuel consumption.
